Drinking Tea Is Like Taking A Bath On The Inside

     "If you are too cold,
          Tea will warm you
       If you are warm,
          it will cool you
       If you are depressed,
          it will cheer you
       If you are excited,
          it will calm you"
                       -Gladstone

It seems there is nothing that a cup of tea cannot solve. Whenever I feel stressed or sad or just relishing the peace and quiet at home, a cup of tea is the perfect drink to have in hand. The aroma instantly relaxes me as it hits me. Whatever flavor transports me to a different place. I enjoy a variety of flavors be it floral, fruity or spicy.

Aside from being a flavorful way to put fluid into your body, research has shown that drinking tea can actually improve your health.

The Many Benefits Of Tea

1. Tea, especially white tea, is rich in antioxidants that protects the body from pollution damage.

2. In its pure, unadulterated form, tea is calorie-free so it is a good option when you're trying to lose weight.

3. Tea may be good for your teeth based on Japanese studies by keeping the acidity of your mouth neutral preventing cavities.

4. It may prevent heart attack and stroke as drinking 4 cups or more a day lowers bad cholesterol.
5. Some herbal teas may help protect your digestive system. Chamomile helps calm spasms and ginger can help with nausea.

6. Herbal teas may help boost your immune system according to Ayurvedic practice. Some teas like holy basil have antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
